144 Edward Street Apartments.
For the 144 Edward Street project, we worked closely with the New York State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). Our team consulted with SHPO to determine the appropriate preservation approach for 144 Edward Street to ensure the project was successful. Built in 1895, the three-story, 7,000 sq. ft. building located in the Allentown Historic District previously served as the Immaculate Conception Rectory. Eight new market-rate apartments were designed to make the best use of the space. A business office was included on the first floor. Historically significant features include retained wood staircases, wood panel doors, wood wainscoting, and plaster walls.
