Daemen University, Curtis Hall.
Bammel designed plans for an extensive renovation at the historic Curtis Hall, 4380 Main St., in Amherst, NY, on the Daemen College campus. Alterations to the building were made to further create an accessible environment. Interior finishes and adjacent spaces were updated and modified based on these changes.
All work was performed to meet accessibility standards as outlined by the ADA. The addition of a new concrete ramp and stair, along with a three-stop lift, allowed access to the second floor. HVAC plans were provided to allow for the addition of an air conditioning system as well as a high-efficiency furnace and heating system to replace the radiators.
